Great truths that children have learned and shared with me.

No matter how hard you try, you cannot baptize a cat.
When your mum is mad at your dad, don’t let her brush your hair.
If your sister hits you, don’t hit her back! They always catch the second person.
You can’t trust your dog to watch your food for you.
Don’t sneeze when you are having your hair cut.
You can’t hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.
Never wear polka dot underwear under a pair of white shorts.
The best place to sit when you are sad is on grandma’s lap.
