Honor your grandchild’s mother and father

Honor thy grandchild’s father and mother.
Keep calm when your grandchild doesn’t have time to talk to you on the phone, even though you spent a large sum of money on him/her a few hours previously.
Teach them about your family history diligently.
Remember that your friends have grandchildren too, so refrain from going on and on about them.
Answer your grandchild’s questions with dignity and respect.
Do refrain from stealing your grandchild’s clever comments and passing them off as your own.
Thou shall not take an obvious interest in other people’s grandchildren!
Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s grandchild or his good grades and never, ever, admit that your neighbor’s grandchild might be doing better at something than yours.
Thou shall remember to keep free days for spending time with your grandchildren.
It is imperative never to tread on any kind of bug in your grandchild’s presence as it will probably upset them.

Do you know that grandfathers seldom compare snapshots of their grandchildren? And, they complain how difficult it was to raise their children; yet, grandchildren are so very easy.
