Some questions and answers from my students’ test papers over the years which I simply could not throw away.

Q      Explain the meaning of ‘free press.’

A      When a mother irons a shirt for you.

Q     What did Mahatma Gandhi and Gengis Khan have in common?

A     Unusual names.

Q     What is the meaning of a stand-alone computer system?

A     One that comes without a chair.

Q     What is the chemical formula for water?   

A     H to O.

Q    In order to change centimeters to meters, you …..

A.   Leave out the word centi.

Q    Name the four seasons.

A    Salt, pepper, mustard and vinegar.

Q   How is dew formed?

A   The sun shines down on the leaves and makes them sweat.

Q   What guarantee does a mortgage company insist on?

A   If you are buying a  house, they will insist that you are

      well endowed.

Q   In a democratic society, how important are elections?

A   Very important. Sex can only happen when a male gets an

      election.
